Pat Boone, known to earlier generations as Elvis’ arch rival in the 1950’s, Pat is now known by later generations for his legendary humanitarian work, such as the international relief agency, Mercy Corp, which was founded in the living room of Pat & Shirley Boone’s home in Beverly Hills, California. Under the auspices of The Pat Boone Foundation, Pat co-created the USBloodDonors.org ‘standby’ donor plan.
