In a disaster, thousands of lives could be needlessly lost for the want of blood. Currently, one out of five blood recipients are children, many with cancer. Premature babies, not strong enough to manufacture their own blood, need transfusions daily just to survive.

In an effort to significantly increase the number of available blood donors in the U.S., Pat Boone & The Pat Boone Foundation have teamed up with USBloodDonors.org, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit Public Service Organization, to engage us all in saving lives.
Our Mission
USBloodDonors.org establishes a national donor registry which enables all people of good will and common concern to freely register their public contact information so leaders of life-saving services may notify appropriate donors of urgent opportunities to save lives.

By simply registering your name on USBloodDonors.org, a secure and privacy-protected database, you can help extend the life of someone you love, perhaps for many years. How?
Donate by blood type
Notifying donors by e-mail (or by text, if you will, in an immediate emergency situation), according to blood type, will assure our blood services receive the needed blood types in short supply, and assure our ‘standby’ emergency-donors that their blood is truly needed.
You need not be a donor to register
Whether or not you’re able to give blood, by registering on this life-saving web system, you will be notified immediately by e-mail (or text, as said) when life-threatening shortages exist so you can help get the word out in your community.
